Stina Hellberg Agback writes music for voices, harp and chamber ensembles. Her many years as an improvising harpist, moving between contemporary music, jazz and free improvisation, are a constant source of inspiration. Her music is marked by attention to sound and colour, and a strong sense of line and breath.

Her works include music for choir and harp, for choir with strings, and chamber music for harp with other instruments. She also writes for her own ensembles, among them Shinken Shobu, recorded in 2024 with Eva Lindal, Alberto Pinton, Filip Augustsson and Jon Fält.

Stina is currently developing new works for larger forces, including choir and chamber orchestra, and welcomes enquiries about commissions.

Sånger till tröst (2025) – SSAA choir, string quintet and harp. Also available in a version for SATB choir, violin, organ and harp. Premiered by Doxa Vocalis, cond. Per-Håkan Precht, Ingarö Church.
Shinken Shobu (2024) – harp, violin, woodwinds, double bass and drums.
50+50- (2023) – viola, flute and harp. Premiered by Trio Älvkvarn, 30 January 2023.
En Aften (2022) – suite in four movements for SATB choir and harp. Premiered by Lunds Domkyrkas Gosskör, Lund Cathedral, 22 May 2022.
